Summer Hockey

Team Surrey Spartans is a club that believes the hockey should never stop and we aim to make this happen with our Summer Hockey programme. We have 3 ways people can get involved:

Spartans 7s

In May for the first time ever we have launched a mixed 7 a side league with other clubs every Thursday. We aim for it to be a fun and social atmosphere encouraging local clubs to come together and keep those hockey skills over the summer. Each team will get to play 3 fixtures in an evening and provide umpires for other games. Then once we are done you can have a post-game refreshment at Bench bar afterwards. If this is something you would be interested in as a club or even as a one-off player, please get in touch and we will try and get you involved.

 

Woking 7s

Each year the club looks to enter a team in the Wednesday mixed 7 a side hockey league ran in Woking that see us compete against other clubs for 7 weeks for a place on finals day to see who will be crowned champions. 

 

Summer 6s

Each year on a selected weekend we look to run a 6 aside mixed one day tournament. This year we are making things bigger and better, seeing all teams get some food and a drink with their entry so you don’t have to worry about that pack up. The day normally runs from 11- 4 with a break for lunch. If you would like to enter a team, volunteer or even just come along and have a good time in the sun get in contact and we will be happy to help.
